Assignments included general investigations (supervisor, then Unit Commander) internal affairs (both as Sergeant, then Unit Commander as Lt.) high-tech computer crimes task force Commander, SWAT Team Commander, and Department Press Information Officer for 5 years.

Education - grew up in Berkeley, CA., graduated from U.C. Berkeley (major: Law & Society), received M.A from Golden Gate University in Public Administration.
